- The next three Mondays, Leiden University’s Studium Generale organizes a series of lectures on the physics of light, in the context of the International Year of Light. In these lectures, three experts explain in a low-level way concepts like refraction, diffraction, polarization, duality of waves and particles, quantum entanglement and quantum encryption.
Fascination for Light, Prof. Martin van Exter, Monday November 30th 19:30-21:00
Quantum light, Prof. Gerard Nienhuis, Monday December 7th 19:30-21:00
Quantum entanglement and encryption, Prof. Dirk Bouwmeester, optics, Monday December 14th 19:30-21:00
The lecture series is in Dutch and free for anyone to attend, no registration is needed.
